  • BTW!!!! Congratulations!

  • @TomboysTv thanks!!!

  • Great show as usual.

If I may, I'd just like your professional input in one small matter; What causes dogs to like/dislike riding in cars? I've owned a few dogs and I always get mixed results, either they are fine with it, or they end up throwing up.

  • @CaveGent Dogs can get motion sickness just like people, and some dogs who have a bad experience in the car start to think that every car ride will be uncomfortable. Car sickness can be tough to over come with dogs.

  • @GuideDogManiac Thanks. Ricki does not strike me as a dog who would dislike car rides. If she did, I'm pretty sure that would have come up in a previous episode, but if she did have car sickness. What would be the first thing you'd do to help her overcome that issue?

Congratulations on Ricki's award by the way.

  • @CaveGent Ricki hasn't had any car sickness problems but a few years ago a puppy in our group did. they spent a long time working on it and did overcome the problem. They started by just sitting in the car in the drive way and playing with the puppy and also feeding the puppy in the car without it turned on. they slowly worked their way to turning on the car and after the puppy was comfotable they turned the car on. it's a slow small step process.

  • Wooo good on you!!! And yay good girl riki! Wow that food on the ground is dead nasty what is wrong with folks jus leaving all that down? Lol my two toddlers clean up after eating better lol good on riki for ignoring that and being awesome!

  • I love that you show Ricki exercising and being a dog. People often have the misunderstanding that because our dogs work they don't play. I get the best work out of my dogs when they have adequate time to be a dog and run and play and socialise. I think you should be really proud of Ricki. She is much better on many aspects than my first working dog and at the same stage as my current dog who still made it through and is a great if not, quirky guide.

  • That's awesome!!!!!

  • So Proud for you guys!!! Well deserved :)

  • good job getting the award! ..ha, I loved it when you called Ricki and she just ran all the way through your legs :)

  • Congrads!

  • Congrats on the award!! You both deserve it! :D

  • @GuideDogManiac Ohhhhhhhhhh. Thanks, I'll give that a shot next time =D
