Take a look at how I keep 39 cones of thread in order while I wind them onto my AVL production dobby loom. There are several important things at work here. The threads need to stay in order and under even tension. The screen keeps them separate and lets them feed straight up off the cones. The tension box applies the tension.

  • Do you try to use up the smaller cones warping, or take them out before you have to knot, and use the thread for weft?
