I am glad this guy pointed it out that the Yankees were NOT the inventor of the pinstripes. The inventors were the Cubs who used them for a season and got rid of them. They were then adopted by the White Sox and for a time the New York Giants tried them out.
What the Yankees DID do when it comes to the pinstripes is make it popular because of all the winning they had. Most teams did not sport the pinstripes, so it made them stand out.

Very cool history. I still love the 1948 home jersey the best, but the they are all cool.
