Canadian Federation of Student's National Day of Action

Hey. On February 7th, 2007, all across Canada there was a day of action held by students and their supporters. Our aim was to demonstrate solidarity in hopes of making a difference about student funding issues that are impacting many if not most students or prospective students in Canada.

Over the past several years, federal and provincial governments have been eroding funding structures that used to keep tuition fees low and which used to provide grants to students. Nowadays, students who go thru the grant and loan program toady are, on average, faced with $20,000-$30,000 debt after 4 years of post secondary education, and that's before interest which accumulates after school ends.
