The main difference with mine is there was minor headstock repair and the previous owner put in custom lark inlays which adds some nice personality to it. I will post my own review when I get some more time. If any one has more info on these please contact me. There is not a whole lot of info out there on these amazing instruments. Thank you all and if you dont already own one of these I wish you all the luck I had on the price.

Thank you for your review! I found an identical es-150d at a pawn shop for only $350 including a gibson hardshell case! Ive always wanted an es-355 but this suits me much better for my playing style. The main -

Just some clarification to what was said in the video. The guitar was made from '69-'75, not '72. Only about 2,400 were made. It has the master volume on the lower horn, not because it'd be easier to do a fade-out, but because Gibson was losing hollowbody sales to Gretsch - including Chet Atkins. So Gibson started mimicking Gretsch by putting the master volume knob on the lower horn.

Gotta say I love this guitar. My favorite Gibson, next to an old Les Paul.

My favorite guitar... This is a blues honker...a country gentleman.... and a screamin' rocker! I had one in high school while I was on the road the neck warped and I had to let it go... (mine was not the beautiful blond seen in this video... but a dark mahogany) Have had an eye out for one on ebay--- usually around the $4k mark... worth it... but not realistic for my blood...

I recently bought a Jay Turser copy (JT 142) it plays just like my old es-150... sweet--reunion!
