A/N: As I already said, the main theme of the video is the line from the song - What if this was our last song, what would we do then?
I wanted to show that in the life of the boys there were so many situations when they barely kept it together, when they barely made it out alive, etc. And at the same time they had a lot of good moments too.
In the beginning I wanted to show this kind of simple life they had in the early seasons - how Dean came to Sam to Stanford, how they hit the road, how they were solving cases, etc. And then problems. Like, Sam was really concerned about his abilities, destiny and all that stuff, and Dean was freaking out, though he couldn't show it to Sam, of course. He kept everything to himself, trying to find the way out without worrying his brother too much. And was like a little boy again - he was really scared and there was only his big brother who could help him, and he trusted him with everything. There's also this symbol of the road, and Sam walking there alone. They both know that they won't make it to, I don't know, 50? And it's sad, knowing that they know. It's a little desperate I think. I wanted to show it through their looks at each other and how Dean handed the gun and the keys of his car. After Dean's death Sam headed down this dangerous road. He was so like Lilith, like this great darkness - I wanted to show the similarity. Sam wanted to bring Dean back, he wanted revenge. He though his intentions were good but...we all know where he ended. This fight scene interjected with clips from earlier seasons, imho doesn't need to be explained. I mean, I just wanted to show exactly what it shows - they had their moment during all seasons, but the climax of it all was in 5x22 but it was so...fucked up? Kind of. I tried to show how they almost lost each other, and how Sam died and then I wanted to show where this dark side of Sam was first mentioned. Like, the dark side of the real Sam - when he killed Jake it was pure revenge, right? He did it coldblooded and then Dean looked at him as if he didn't recognize his own brother.
