No need to condescend. 48-million miles is not a lot, spaceflight speaking, even at ballistic-velocities. So missions to Mars are feasible, even with 47-year old Apollo technology that I winessed in action, growing up. The Von-Braun-designed Saturn V and Saturn 1b multistage launchers were the safes, most reliable ever built, and that was with early 1960s technology.
