Hi Tim,

Found your website yesterday...boy did I need it. It was a pleasant reminder that simple is better. I had veered from that path badly. Anyways, wanted to say I have never seen a retracement drawn from high to high before. Where did you stumble upon that idea?

@treschan Hi Miles, the extension concept is something developed from watching price action and making notes on bull and bear flags. There are a few other traders I've seen use the idea as well. I trade extensions much less frequently than the typical low to high retracement, because if you're not in the trade by the time the extension trades, I is often too late to get into the trend, or at the very least, a lower probability setup.

@TSAUTOTRADER I use limit orders so my orders are already set at the 50% level. Typically, even if it ends up failing the long it will get a first target hit and reduce my risk on the trade.
