I captured this by writing a script to grab a copy of the latest image from the webcam NYTimes have pointed out over NYC. Runs from about Noon on the 29th Of October, till about half nine am on the 30th October, 2012.

No idea about why the camera moves, I'm guessing someone knocked the tripod or the building swaying in the wind caused it. It's not one of the most stable setups it would seem (This is the camera: http://instagram.com/p/RWcBF4i1vM/)

EDIT: They have since taken down the image feed that I used to create this time lapse, and have replaced it with a much longer timelapse covering about 48 hours if you want to go and see that it is at the URL above.
