レーガーでこれだけの反応を得られるというのは、やっぱり凄いよ
なー、 演奏のレベルも聴衆のレベルも。

Total mastery and so moving too.Paul Jacobs is surely one of the handfull of organists who really equal the great concert pianists of today.
-
This is the best Reger BACH set I've heard, bar none. Simply excellent.

@Caezar460 I'm not weighing an opinion in here, but I will say that just because one isn't as highly placed in the world as Paul Jacobs doesn't mean one can't have an opinion about him.
Juilliard's mostly just a name these days anyway...

@kosmologie Nathan Laube is very, very good, no doubt. But finest organist in the US is a bit of a big statement to make. The US has many fine organists to its credit, not all of them are big in the spotlight right now.
-
This was bad! You totally missed the point of this masterpiece!
-
... and sorry, Nathan Laube ist the finest Organist in US. Jacobs maybe is an
Virtuoso like Cameron Carpenter, but they are Showorganists!
(I played Reges BACH op. 46 as well and exactly fast as Jacobs but not
with this ugly staccato - each good german Organist can play it!).

EVERYBODY can judge Musicians. And Reger is a German Composer,
so WE GERMAN ORGANISTS have the right to protect his music against
AMERICAN WAY OF STACCATO. Awful!
Masterful playing of this monumental fugue - - Reger, Lizst, Widor, Vierne, and Bach are all cheering from the wings!! Bravo!
