  • @espanolmuchacho Yeah, you just have to ignore people sometimes. I'm finding my calculus class extremely useful in every day life. People just insult us programmers and mathematicians because they're not as smart as us ;) Kudos pal.

  • Hey everyone I just finished creating a math tricks website for those who need help improving mental math and basic arithmetic skills. Please check it out and let me know what you think of it. My site is mathtipsandtricks. com

  • @sigmundur Glad to know there will always be a computer in front of you absolutely every instant of every day. Psht, adding, who adds anymore, why would you even bother. I'll just let a machine do it for me so I can forget and no longer be capable of doing things on my own even though I enjoy integration and differentiation.

  • @mikechec123 Um, guess who's programming those computers to be able to solve those math problems? Do I need to spell out the answer for you?

  • @FretPap

    Yes. lol!

It's so easy to time by 10 or 100 or 1000 since the answer is going to be the number with a 0 at the end for 10, two zeros for 100 and 3 zeros for 1000. that's why most people rather round the number to the nearest 10th or 100th so they can multiply more easily.

106 x 106 borrow 6 and add it to the other number. so it becomes

    112 x 100 = 11200 (112 x 100 = the number (112) & two zeros at the end of it)

    now we take the 6 borrowed and square it = 36. 11200 + 36 = 11236
