So glad you mentioned this as I was almost tempted to choose the ZR1 over the ZS3, (which I have been drooling over for months) so I'll stick with my choice to get the ZS3 after all. Thank you for helping me avoid a mistake! :)

yes, there is no wind filter on the camera and photo/video quality is also not that great. I have already returned that camera and got DMC-ZS3.

I thought the video quality was good..........call me stupid LOL........I just bought the ZR1.......for a point and shoot the video looks fine to me. I grew up in the sixties when we ahd black n white TV's

I can understand. However, I wanted to point out that when we upload the videos to youtube the they get highly compressed and hence we lot of details are lost that won't show up on youtube. ZS3 is far better than ZR1 for both quality and features.
