  • As a Courtesy Clerk at Kroger I cab say I've seen on may occasions people buy 10 of the same product on the 10 for $10 sale totally unaware they can mix and match so yes I can see where you come from there.

  • @CookieMonster9898 Yep, I see it all the time too!!! I was shopping with my uncle the other day and he thought I had to buy 3 pizzas just to get the sale price (It was 3/$9.99.) I also saw a lady buying 10 ravioli's bc she thought she had to get 10 of the same item. Kroger is very smart!! :-)

  • It's not a trick. It's simple math...

  • @CookieMonster9898 You are right, it is simple math. It is also a very powerful marketing plan. Kroger could very easily price the tuna at just $1.25 each. But they know that if they list it at 4/$5.00 then the average person would think they have to buy 4 to get it at $1.25. Make Sense?

  • I'm probably the worst employee in the world because I always let them in on the secrets and as an aspiring chef tend to suggest less expensive alternatives x.x
