If the Irish are a joke around the world, why did more than 11,500 people around the world claim Irish Citizenship through their ancestors just last year? I'm Irish and proud to be Irish. @kevrs2 You're the idiot - Obama and Putin are in charge of the government in their countries. Enda Kenny is the Taoiseach (Head of the Irish Government). This man is the President (Head of the Irish State). You should get to know the country before you label it as a "Joke Country". You obviously didn't even watch this video to learn anything about Michael D. Higgins. Since when was having a politically experienced and educated man as Head of State a crime? Must have missed that report on RTÉ.
