During the O'Neill Evolution 2012 the atmosphere intensified as the lead swapped between Eric Willet(USA) and Mark McMorris(CAN). Willet scored what looked like an unassailable 95.30pts with a switch backside doublecork 1260 to lipslide 270 in his second run, only for McMorris to edge in front of him with a score of 95.60pts with a bigger backside doublecork 1260 to lipslide 270.

  • At least Morris is enough of a sportsman to admit at the end that he isn't sure he should have won. Great sportsmanship!

  • yes we all agree that eric should have won this years evolution, but watch last years event... I'm pretty sure mark should have won that event over seb. So maybe this is O'neills way of apologizing for last years results.

  • dope

  • Ya, I didn't see (USA), I saw (CDN) But eric should have won honestly.. his doubles are the definition of perfect.

  • Mcmorris is a beast, but Eric or Seppe should have took it and Seppe was definitely underscored. Good comp, still preferred last year's though. I wish Seb Toots would have made the finals. Oh and just so you know Mark is Canadian, lol.
