FULL TITLE CARRIES ON"-AND I SANG THE ROSARY".NOT A JOLLY 20S FOX-TROT,BUT A SENTIMENTAL OLD TIME WALTZ,THAT MUST HAVE APPEALED TO THE OLDER GENERATION OF THE 20S.AN ATMOSPHERIC AND ROUSING VERSION OF THIS TUNE.MANY COLUMBIA 78S BY THIS BAND AND OTHERS IN THE LATE 20S WERE RECORDED AS THE LABEL STATES"IN A PUBLIC HALL",WHICH GAVE A VERY NICE QUALITY TO THE ALREADY GOOD COLUMBIA 78S.IF ONLY OTHER WELL KNOWN LABELS HAD FOLLOWED COLUMBIAS EXAMPLE.
Probably an Eclipse record. I remember a female singer singing this, music hall style, but rather slower, whether on an old 78 or on tv I can't remember. The piano music I have for the song gives a male/ female duet for the chorus.

I looked this up as I thought it was the Hylton version which was recorded at the Kensington Cinema in August 1927.
