@johanneswiberg That quote is a little more recent than this. His reasoning behind not doing any drugs or substances is that "he's already been around them all before." I'd assume it was around this time period (he's 23 in this video, and Faith No More made it huge just the year before) that he was "around them all." I don't doubt he dabbled at one point and stopped straight up.
