The song may have been written about the Dust Bowl,but errily and uncannily,seems very relevant and applicable to todays migrant workers. It also speaks of the human condition,therefore,universal in message. No politics here,just ethics...about hard-working folks trying to earn a fair and honest living in order to pay the rent and feed their families.
You,kind sir,have done Woody's song great justice with your soulful,sincere interpretation..
