The 14th Amendment, when read clearly, is for slaves. It does not apply to anyone under the jurisdiction of a foreign nation. That means foreigners who have children in the US do not have anchor babies. Mitt Romney was an anchor baby. Mitt Romney is to this day a Mexican Citizen.

@anarchsnark Renters are not taxed at all because they don't own property. They simply pay the rent, which the market dictates. The landlord would pay the taxes whether he had any tenants or not, and his pricing of the units is based on the market price, not the tax structure. What the landlord does with the money is his business. It has nothing to do with the tenant.
-
@tallswede80 The rent paid still contributes to what is taxed. The landlord is trying to make a profit, so he's not trying to keep the property tax as a personal expense. He's gonna shift all or at least some of the tax to his tenants in the form of rent. Referring to property taxes, renters are not taxed directly but indirectly.
-
@anarchsnark You don't pay property taxes unless you own property. The landlord pays taxes regardless of whether he receives rent, and regardless of who pays him rent, and regardless of how much.
-
@tallswede80 We're not arguing about how much rent is paid but the fact that undocumented workers pay taxes. I said earlier that rent goes toward the cost of the property which includes property taxes. I never said rent IS ENTIRELY property taxes, but that it contributes to property taxes. The owner of the property pays taxes on the property so when undocumented workers pay rent, they indirectly pay property taxes.
-
@anarchsnark The entire rent does not go toward property taxes and the landlord sets the price of the apartment based on it's market value to maximize his own profit, i.e. what people will pay for it, not based on his own property taxes.
-
@tallswede80 Rent collected from landlords go towards the cost of the property which include property taxes.

Today if i call a black person a Nigger that makes me a racist if i said Nigger 100 years ago I was in the right. Hopefully in a hundred years if i call someone illegal i'll be considered a racist. FYI Economic Refugee is the politically correct name. Illegal is just derogatory and disgusting.
