From Gambler's Blues and Google Images via Windows MovieMaker (a really shitty program but it works). Dave Van Ronk was a true Bluesman and wonderful Musical Stylist who most people have never heard of. But for those who know his music, he was a giant.

  • He taught Bob Dylan how to play guitar...

  • I saw Dave at the Chessmate in Detroit. A great artist, and a great character. RIP Mr. Van Ronk.

  • "Winin boy" refers to a kid on the sidewalk who watched for police and started "winin" or crying loudly as a signal. Van Ronk said as much at the cafe Lena in the 60's
