My modifications to the Hasbro Mace Windu Lightsaber.
Blade/entire ligthsaber unit is removable
Motorized Realistic Internal Plug
My own interpretation on the lightsaber internal design, with a little Dr. Who and Iron man thrown in for good (geek) measure.
Designed in SolidWorks and made with some scrap flashlight parts, hacked micro servo motor, 2mm bearing rods, 9 purple LEDs and a few custom plastic parts(Eden 350).

Its just the design I came up with. It's somethinig like a helical light rail gun/energy amplifier for the main crystal...
or to put it another way, I added it cause I think it looks cool
