Here is an "in camera" effect we did as a test for a shot in S01dier. It is an 8 inch longmodel shot in the foreground on a box and a book. We removed those, but the rest is in camera.

  • Hey, sorry. i posted an answer to this right after you asked it but it didn't effin show up!

Any who. it's called a hanging foreground miniature. Named that after the old school method of hanging models in front of the camera.

  • It's a test shot for our short film S01dier. It's called a forced perspective miniature shoot. I modeled the drop ship from multiple toy and model kits, painted it and we sat it on a stack of boxes close to the camera, while we walked "toward" it about 100 yards away. The actual model is about 8 inches long.
