It started way back with Meet the Beatles (their first US album), which was the same as their first UK album minus some cover songs. To my mind, leaving those covers off made Meet the Beatles the better album.
Then for the two soundtrack albums (Hard Day's Night and Help), which EMI had released with only Beatles' tunes, including ones not heard in the movies, Capitol released with only the songs heard in the movie plus incidental music.
So the releases were out of synch.

@brianallancobb why were those tracks left off the U.S version?

Revolver, the UK version, anyway, the best of all the Beatles' wonderful albums.
The US version left off Dr. Robert, I'm Only Sleeping, and And Your Bird Can Sing, and I thought Lennon had semi-retired.

GOT TO GET YOU INTO MY LIFE IS ABOUT PAUL MCCARTNEY'S ADDICTION TO POT :)

what happened to track 10? it goes from track 9 to 11????

After listening to both versions (Mono and Stereo) I really prefer Stereo because the drums seem so much more vibrant in most of the songs (not all).

very good songs
In a way it sounds more like a mono version than stereo. If it's from the Stereo cover. Rip it in 320 Kbps in order to be in full stereo. Overall, good!!!
