I remember Play Dead being a bit on the eclectic side. They came over like killing joke wanabees at times, and the bass line on this sounds as if its lifted from Change (not that Killing Joke came up with that bass line).
Calling yourselves MAD the same year that Mick Jones formed BAD hints at a lack of imagination also. Gang of Four had already made the disco infused Hard in LA the previous year and looking back you wonder what M.A.D were trying to prove.
I do like this track though!
