@TotalCodeMonkey I guess you're right about that one.

@TotalCodeMonkey I'm having a hard time with #NEWS, since I'm new at this. And I do not know whether it works if I typed "@find X"

@mtech101 : IRC is many servers. Also irc fileservers are operated by people with really fast connections. So it's VERY hard to shut down. They'd have to go after everyone with a fast connection and the means to run a fileserv script. Which..if you remember them trying to go after people who shared on Napster..is quite the impossible task.

remove video as it will only bring to much attention to this! We can't let it get shut down!

How do you find what channel has the file you want?
codymoss3300 1 week ago
@codymoss3300 in terms of anime, well first you need to know the group that does the sub you want, then find put if they have a channel, then if they have a bot. Anidb.net can help in finding groups that do the series you want.
For other files I'm afraid it's down to knowing of it exists.

Can you do a tutorial on how to use "@find'?

@xxxXdragonXxxx
i could, but it's not available in all channels, and in some it's even banned to use triggers. The channel i use in the video, doesn't support it for example, so it's pointless to teach if it's not a constant to all bots. a list is a constant though, to search: use Ctrl-F if it's a txt file or use a search box if the list is interactive.
I was planning to flesh this out a little in a second video, by expanding to queries and formatting. as well as maybe explaining about modes.

Thanks a lot, this was really helpful. Although I guess you could have included the list in the description or something, but a quick look in the Livejournal quickly helped me with that one.

@HiddenPower13 this was supposed to be a generic "how to use irc and xdcc" not a "here's how to use the precure bot in #precure" i only used it as an example as i use that one the most often.
you'll find that the list is linked to on Curecom, PCSS, and Doremi.
