http://www.londoncyclist.co.uk/maintenance/fixing-the-most-common-mechanical-... This is one of the most common mechanic problems with bikes. Often people ignore it causing a very unpleasant bit of cycling. Yet, replacing the cassette is an easy fix. Make sure you also follow the instructions on my blog. A new cassette costs anything from £22.99 onwards and the various tools you need can be bought for £10-£20. This is often still cheaper than asking a bike shop to replace your cassette.
