(1) Solar Cell--- SATURN MAGNET BEDINI

This is my SATURN MAGNET BEDINI running on one small 3.5 volt solar cell. There are two capacitors placed in the circuit and show the source voltage and the charge rate as the device runs. The Bedini is on my bedroom floor with sunlight coming through a skylight . The rotor for this is a 1" neo magnet with two 3/8" neos magnetically stuck to the sides. When this rotor spins it gives a Saturn like appearance with it's ring system. The video camera has a strobe effect on this and it does not show up well in this video. The circuit is a standard Bedini SSG using an air core bifilar coil.

But can it power itself??? Have you tried a seperate pickup coil fed back into the source cap, or is your pannel the source with no cap on the front end?

Can-----The cap is a necessary part of the source on the front end. This will not self run without a little help from Mr. Sun. I was glad to see it run so easily on such a small amount of energy though.

Comwarrior--- I am going to play around with the circuit and see what happens. Who knows I have always wanted to run a Bedini on a lemon. Maybe this is the one---but I don't think so.

The strange recording affect is because the magnet is rotating at some harmonic close to the framerate of the camera (i.e. rpm=framerate*n where n is a natural number).

its the frame rate of the camera, it is tuned into the spin rate of the ball magnets
