It's the speedo cable wearing out. They are after all, 21 odd years old. :)
New speedo cable ($100au), second hand 320km/h instrument cluster off eBay while you're at it ($300au), and you're lookin good. :D

FML. Some comments on here really blow my mind...
1. Its not my car, its a friends and hes since sold it.
2. Its a BNR32. Genuine GTR, a common sight here in Australia.
3. Not sure whats up with the speedo. Its in KM/H.
4. The food is wrapped in plastic. (as if it matters?)
5. Catback exhaust, twin pods in an enclosure, Blitz R-Vit, Ohlins suspension, more mods I CBF mentioning.
