This video moves me to tearsevery time I watch it.Seeing L'il Smokey with my synthetic sheepskins was particularly heartwarming for me. It made me feel like a part of his recovery, even if across the miles. Thanks to precious Knut, I have become an avid bear fan. These magnificent, yet endearingly charismatic creatures are abused & misunderstood all over the world: let's ban bile farms, Indian bear dancing, Pakistani bear baiting, trophy hunting & harvest kill hunts--using hormones is better.

This is a great tribute to fire fighters who have a big heart (one especially - Adam Deem) and also to Tom and Cheryl, Dr. Willits and all the great volunteers at LTWC who had saved and cared for this poor little injured cub. He had captivated our hearts and had taught all of us who followed him daily on his blog so much. We got a glimpse of one of Gods great creatures. Lil Smokey - you are very much loved and missed. Travel safely my friend! God continue to be with you and keep you safe.
