This is a very special cactus that I have had almost 14 years. It started out in a 4 inch plastic pot and soon grew to many times that size. I've grown many off shoots from this cactus because I really love the large bright white flowers it produces. They bloom at night and usually wilt up by morning.

  • Very nice Cactus with a beautiful flower!

  • could be Echinposis oxygona... but that is just a guess. it's an Echinopsis!

  • Easter Lily Cactus, Echinopsis eyriesii?

  • Hey AA, between you and Jane I am learning alot about these plants, that I usually only seen in cowboy movies, lol... Wow like a gardenia? Dude, that makes that flower really special in my books, I seen that cactus plant in wal-mart the other day when I was looking around, if that's the one that has all the little round ones, looks like it though. so does this one put out a fruit too, or is it grown for the flower itself? just wondering, I think transplanting that thing would be scary. lol
