This is video of setting up are Auto Start System for the TRI-60 Jet engine using no propane Just jet fuel. not as easy as we thought it would be, Trying to keep EGT under 1200 degrees, If it go's over 1350 will shut off fuel. More work needed.

  • god look at that glowing turbine... pick up a little more rpms before attempting ignition,, or throttle down the starting fuel (if you have one, im assuming its propane).

  • @highvoltagefeathers The starter is spinning it at 40% witch is more than fast, And in this video it,s running on jet fuel. The problem was It had 3 bad fuel injector stuck open so even with throttle at 30% it was dumping fuel. Thanks for the input.

  • where did you buy this engine, I want one too!

  • I Had one on E-Bay for sale. It Sold yesterday. I mite sale one more soon, Not sure yet. Watch Ebay.

  • Too hot?

  • Microturbo the manufacturer of the TRI-60-5 Turbojet engine says max EGT on start up is 1850 degrees, We have it set to cut fuel off at 1350 degrees witch is way under 1850 degrees. This is a military jet engine and is built very strong. You should watch one start in a target drone if you want to see a hot start!
