This is my 2001 S2000 that I use for Autocross. I never had it dyno'd so I figured why not. Hawaiian Style Dyno Party. I hit 196HP . I forgot the torque.. something stupid like 133 lbs/ft. I get the dyno sheet later.
For those who want to know, the rims are BBS Wheels made for Honda as a lightweight replacement for the AP1. THey are stock sized wheels. Also they are no longer manufactured, other items: Mugen Hardtop, T1R Exhaust, K&N Air Filter, Koni Yellow shocks w/stock springs, ultra huge H.

  • I repainted the whole car Because of how bad it matched. At least in part. It's lime green metallic now.

  • my 02 s2k made 209 whp stock other than skunk2 exhaust. I ran consistent 13.9 @ 100mph

  • well unless we ran our cars back to back on the same dyno, it doesn't really make for a comparison, but those are good numbers. I don't drag race, so peak power isn't really my number 1 goal.

  • @istdercollen

How are the koni yellow shocks? Stiff??

  • if you set the damping to it's highest, it will be noticeably stiffer than stock. It's a pain to install them as well because the shaft is thicker on the Konis when compared to stock. You have to drill out all the stock parts that are reused to fit, which I didn't know when I bought them. I got it done, but it took me almost 6 hours by myself.

  • Honda has never known for it's torque. Especially when the F20C motor. It's always been a high revving hp/liter monster.

As for those Dyno number, I'd say u are running fairly stock motor except with a few bolt on such as cat-back exhaust or intake, which does little to nothing most of the time. And that when u do the math it's actually very commendable with stock 240hp/crank vs 196hp/wheel.

  • ...."ultra huge H." lol. thats where all the torque came from

  • yea it does im really just lookin for a decent cruiser to modify im leaning towards the z but damnit the option to have the top down always pulls me back..thanks tho

  • The Z has more torque and HP. It will pull harder than an S2000 plus it will respond better to NA tuning than an S2000. HOwever the S2000 is much lighter and with some simple suspension mods can run rings around the heavier Z. hope that helps!

  • how does the car pull?im a huge honda fan but i was considering a Z does this car match the hype or not?

  • dude repaint your hardtop man...look hella ugly

  • Those numbers are correct for flywheel readings, but wheel horsepower is always less. 15-20% loss is normal for an S2000. Your car knowledge must be beat.
