These poor hounds are living a very neglected life in Cantonment, FL near Pensacola. They had no shelter, no hay, water buckets, etc prior to a Junior Humane Society volunteer stepping in. They're living on garbage piles and in their own waste. They're fed occasionally and have not received any veterinary care. The Walker Hound might have heartworms and the Coonhound has badly infected ears. Despite my call to Animal Control about the neglect and the Coonhound not being able to reach the dog house because of his short cable, the situation has not been corrected. The *owner* is giving up the dogs because he can't afford the Rabies shots and the license fees, not because the dogs are being neglected.
If you can take these dogs ASAP and give them a better life, please contact (850) 384-1490 or email spayem1@aol.com. The dogs will be taken to the shelter; otherwise, Im sorry to say.
This is disgraceful

Those dogs had NO shelter, no water buckets before I discovered these violations. I provided the dog houses and buckets. The blue tick is tied up and can't even reach the the dog house. No dog should live this way, besides it's illegal. The walker was very sick from advanced heartworm disease and had to be euthanized. Blue tick had medium heartworm disease and has found a wonderful home, tether free. My pointer is a lap dog as are my formerly chained pit bull mixes.
