Here is a video of a Conrail BAL-101 taken on June 8, 1990 by my step-father, Jim Dundon(I'm with the still camera in the shots).
Don't fast forward through the very beginning! Instead, crank up the volume, because what you'll be hearing and about to enter the viewfinder is the sound of six, yes, count them, SIX 4 axle GE's pulling a 110 car, 10,000 ton stone train across the Maybrook line in Connecticut.
The opening shot is near Stevenson, then we are at Hawleyville, CP Shire,(Berkshire Jct.), and finally at the station in Danbury where a rolling crew change is made and the the Selkirk crew rolls the tonnage out of town. A sight to behold and never to be seen again!
ENJOY!

Great stuff here, this makes me wish that CR never dropped ownership of these old New Haven routes, as there's a chance that the Maybrook might still be in full service today if a Class I was still holding the reigns. It's a shame that stone traffic (or any traffic for that matter) doesn't traverse this stretch of track anymore. The traffic is obviously still here from the P&W in the form of CT-2, but I guess too much track between Derby JCT and Berkshire JCT is out of service indefinitely. :(

Great work again, Tim! As a side note, the 4th engine out is U23B 2790, which still exists today as Lehigh Railway 2300. Also, great shot of the crew change in Danbury. You wouldn't be caught dead doing that today!
