before the storm CHAPTER THREE-- [description box]

MILEYS POV

It seemed as if the day was never going to end. All I wanted to do was go home and lock myself in my bedroom. All this pressure, all these people following me around with cameras. This was never what I wanted. All I ever wanted to do was sing. I sighed.
'Mom, where are we going now?' I asked, in an annoyed tone.
'To your Teen Vogue photo shoot sweetie. Then you get to go home and sleep.' She said. I smiled a bit and looked at the clock. 5 pm. Ive been out doing press since 7 am. Crazy! I turned and saw my baby sister asleep in the backseat. Shes so innocent and carefree. I envy her. 'She looks up to you.' My mom whispered, noticing me watching Noah. 'Youre her role model.' I reached back and softly stroked Noahs cheek. 'Shes my role model.' I said with a genuine smile. After the photo shoot we got back into the car and I let out a sigh of relief. 'Finally!' I said. My mom laughed. 'So whats the plan for tomorrow?' I asked. Suddenly my mom seemed worried. Her hands tightened around the steering wheel. 'Lets not worry about tomorrow baby.' She said, 'Just enjoy tonight.' I looked into her eyes, with a confused expression. 'Okay..' I said. She grabbed my hand and softly whispered, 'Everything is going to be just fine.' She gave me a comforting smile and we continued to drive home.

NICKS POV

I stared at the cell phone in my hands. 'Just call her already.' I told myself. I took a deep breath and began to dial. Suddenly a figure appeared at my door. 'Call who?' My brother Kevin asked. I rolled my eyes. 'Kev can you go away?' I asked in a cold voice. He raised his eyebrows. 'Excuse me?' He said, obviously offended by my tone. 'Im sorry Kev. I just really need to be alone right now.' I said with tears filling my eyes. Kevins expression immediately changed from angry to compassionate. 'Of course. Hey Nick?' he said softly. 'Yeah?' I mumbled, not wanting to make eye contact. 'If you ever need anything, of if you just want to talk, Im here.' He said. I tried to smile at him, but my attempt was weak. He nodded his head at me, and disappeared down the hallway. I put my cell phone down and picked up my guitar. Every song I write reminds me of Miley. Our relationship, the good and the bad. All the promises I broke and all the mistakes I made. I began to sing, 'Flooded with all this pain, knowing that Ill never hold her, like I did before the storm.' Tears poured down my face like raindrops. I walked over to my window. It was a beautiful night. There were stars everywhere. I wondered if she was looking up at these same stars, wishing and dreaming. She always loved starry nights

FLASHBACK
'Miley where are you taking me?' I laughed. 'Come on Nick, just a few more steps.' She grabbed my hand and pulled me deeper into the forest until we reached a clearing. 'Were here. Welcome to heaven Nick.' Miley smiled. She had the most beautiful smile. She laid down on the green grass and I laid beside her. Up in the sky there were thousands of bright, beautiful stars. We laid in silence, holding hands. Finally she spoke. 'What are you thinking about?' I turned my head to face her. 'Love.' I replied. 'Love?' She asked. I chuckled. 'I love you.' I whispered, squeezing her hand a bit harder. She turned her body and grabbed my face with her free hand. 'I love you too.' She said. I leaned in and kissed her softly. She bit her lip and blushed the most amazing color of pink. That was the first time we ever exchanged 'I love yous.'
END OF FLASHBACK

I smiled to myself and laid down on my bed. 'I love you Miley.' I whispered as I turned off my light and closed my eyes.
