IMO, World of Goo is worth all the money in the World. It's rare to find a game this good, and for this game to be made by only 2 people, that is impressive.

Actually, I think the smaller companies always do better because there is more room for passion. with every body that the ideas must pass through, the concept becomes more muddled. There are always exceptions to this rule, but a good example of this happening is the dreaded "sequels". After a movie or game becomes popular, the second movie generally has a bigger budget, more staff/developers, more hype, etc, which, IMO, degrades the original passion.
