On December 6, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant, the Iowa Wesleyan College Choir and the Mt. Pleasant Chorale joined together to present From Out of the Stillness Came Magnificent Light! under the conductorship of Jamie Spillane, accompanied by a small orchestra of instrumentalists. The performance included soloists: Priscilla Marlar, Julie Wyma, Eric Peterson, Dr. Timothy Ahern, Margaret Clair, and some fine organ music played by Professor Carl Moehlman.
The audience enjoyed the Magnificat in D major BWV 243 by J.S. Bach. Instrumentalists included:

Oboe Jason Edwards, Bob McConnell. Trumpet Derrick Murphy, Don Hughes, Tom Bell. Timpani Dr. David Johnson. Organ Professor Carl Moehlman. Piano Mosie Lasagna.
