  • There have been no steam whistles heard anywhere this year from Port Clinton to Tunkhannock and Jim Thorpe, PA. We miss you, 425. We hope you come back soon. I rode the White Haven train in Sept. and it had a diesel at each end, the GP38 2004 leading and an SD50 on the rear. I found my BM&R tape with the song on it and 425 on the rear side, plus my own audio tape recording riding 425 from Temple to South Hamburg in June, 1987 during Railfan Weekend II, the PRR E8's passed us at Leesport.
