  • Thanks, Cheery Davie! Such a lovely voice & beautiful song! That I haven't heard of this lovely singer or beautiful song before greatly shames me! I've always said I'll be a returning Highlander when I come to Scotland & everyone else is just dumb Americans in a Hawiian flowerdy shirts! LOL.! If the shirt fits. . . Thanks for reminding me that no matter how much you learn you'll never know it all & thanks for being my Guru of Scottish Music!!!

The only other place you will find me on Youtube is where I sung "Silent Night" with the Susan Boyle Virtual Choir. It is under" SuBoVirtual Choir". There are photos of the choir members most of whom hail from the good old USA! I am listed as Elizabeth McNally. Considering none of us ever met and it was all done by computer I think it sounds quite good.

But OH ! to make a CD.....that is my dream. But it costs money to do it and I am not convinced many people would buy it! x

  • @marzella2 Thanks so much, Sweet LIz! I have been looking for more of you on YouTube but can't find it. I hope I can find you on CD! Also, I was thinking what a beautiful job you would do on 'The trees they do grow high & the leaves they do grown green.' Just in case you're fixing to record, LOL. I would love to hear any of your songs & performances in any form!

Your generous words uplifted me so much. Please do not feel ashamed that you have not heard of me. There is no reason why you should have as I am just an ordinary lady who is proud of her Scottish roots and LOVES to sing! The song IS beautiful. My mum used to sing it to me and my brothers and sisters and so has a special place in my heart. You can however now make it better known by asking people to listen to it just like "Cheery Davie" did. Thanks for your kindness Liz

We are definitely discussing recording another song and I like the ones you have suggested. All I can say for now is "watch this space" !Hopefully we will try to entertain you again very soon. Thank you so much for your encouraging and inspirational comments.

    Liz x

  • Beautiful singing voice and a beautiful tune. Smashing.

  • @Fluffysecuritybeaver Thanks so much! Her rich resonant voice is amazing, even the highest notes never approach shrillness! I would love to hear her do The Water is Wide & The Wagoner's Lad. I will definitely be back for more!
