Here is a K-MAX helicopter hauling concrete for the new Black Mountain Express lift at Arapahoe Basin. This lift replaces the old triple Exo lift. This pilot was really good and had the round trip done in less then two minutes. The concrete truck was in the parking lot and had two buckets. One was getting filled while the other one was in the air. The helicopter has two main intermeshing rotors, no tail rotor. The rotors spin the opposite direction to counter the yaw the tail rotor normally takes care of. This helicopter is ideal for high elevations (around 11,000') because it has two rotors.
These birds are so sweet....I saw a k-max...maybe same pilot ..don't know ....setting bridge trusses at the edge of the Maroon Bells Wilderness along Capitol Creek last week....most agile helicopter I have ever seen....like a wasp or humming bird in its ability to maneuver.
Very kool. Thanks for posting the video.
