One of the greatest films ever made..but this music is inappropriate.

WIth all respects, Carl Davis' 1981 score is the definitive soundtrack for this film.

When Carl Davis scored The Crowd, he knew what he was doing, and had the credentials to back it up. 

This attempt by Bjarni Biering Margeirsson is a pretentious failure. Better luck next time.

Loved the movie, although I think Harold Lloyd was correct when he stated that silent movies should be accompanied by a pipe organ. Thanks for posting...

I quite enjoyed this rendition, its a completely different perspective from the upbeat original. It's amazing what a difference a new soundtrack can make to a silent film.

I like the music, but it's the wrong feel for this part of the film. The camera effected a feeling of being unbound, cine libre, so to speak. The music should be uninhibited and upbeat I think.
