This is such a genius idea! I'm planning on making a couple of different ones for Easter season. I was wondering if you add the elastic to both the front and the back of the dress or just to the front side?

Hi girl, i LOVE this project and am about to make my own version. i was just wondering if there was a certain reason for you inserting the short piece of the sheet into the bodice part ? Can't i just use one layer instead??- (just the long piece i mean) thx xxx

@Leslily83 You could but the sheet is fairly shear so it might be a bit see through. The other insert is to stop people from seeing your undies! lol. Hope everything goes well!

I'm sorry to ask, but what size and how tall are you? I'm really petite and was wondering if I would have to use a smaller sheet (or cut it shorter)? Love this video! :) I just subscribed!

@simplyserendipity Hey hun! I'm 1.67 meters tall and about a size 10. If you need to I would recommend cutting the sheet smaller both length ways and width ways because otherwise it will swim on you :-)

i've made tops and dress before, but i've never figured out how to sew the elastic bit (round the waist) like you have .. could you briefly explain please? because i love maxi dress and i have some really cool fabric i can use ! Thanks x
