NOTE: SORRY FOR IT BEING SIDEWAYS. WAS HOLDING THE CAMERA ODDLY.

I was handing in an application at a petstore in my city and I made some purchases while i was there.
These two Black Kuhli Loaches [Pangio Oblonga] are one of those purchases. Someone on www.fishforum.com asked me about swimming around the glass so I thought I'd make a video to show how my Kuhli's act. Anyway here you are and enjoy.

Got an aquarium? Check out http://www.fishforum.com. If you like fish [saltwater or freshwater aquariums] or know someone who does send them to us. http://www.fishforum.com

  • Great vid. Do u know how big kuli loaches get 2 be? And this is off topic but I have algae growing on the leaves of my plants. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?

  • they grow 3"-5" long :)

the ones i have wont grow too much more than what they are

as for the algae you could reduce how long your lights are on or get a pleco, dojo loach, or snails to clean it up

however snails tend to reproduce like mad so unless you have a dojo or two you might be overrun by them

  • @Ramenuzumaki they can grow to be a foot

  • not Kuhlis no

  • @Ramenuzumaki oh thats what i heard anyways will these things eat my tetras

  • nope :)

  • You should get a few more. They are community fish, at least 3 more.

  • @Firecloud500 hey im on my sister's account. you could get a piece of cucumber and weigh it down and that would be a good veggie for them, OR you can give them what are called algae or spirulina pellets. they love them!

  • What veggies would you recommend feeding to loaches?

  • @sodle123 yea i have tree with my betta. bettas are nice fish just not to other bettas.

  • @Ramenuzumaki do you think i could put one of these in a 5G tank with a betta?

  • @Callampingpong really late respone, but otocinlus catfish are probably the best way to go. Their small but a team of 4 or 5 will get rid of algae insanely fast compared to "turbo" snails and algae eaters. In fact, most experts agree that algae eaters do a crap job despite their name.
