My cat had to be put down. We never really found out why because we couldn't afford the testing the emergency vets wanted to do. We believe that it was from the pet food recall but it was possibly the early stages of feline distemper.
I feel bad I couldn't make it the whole length of the song but some things...well many things actually...are hard to do when you are crying.
Watching this makes me cry.
The story behind his name:
A few years ago, I walked into my living room and saw my cat in labour. Never a pretty sight. (Even when I had seen it many times before. my cat used to get pregnant pretty much annually) I sat next to her doing my usual coaching, saying things like "ATTA GIRL" and petting her.(of course cats can & usually do, give birth on there own.)After a while I saw a kitten being born breach. She ignored him at first & sat on him while she was feeding the others. I felt bad for him so I picked him up gently & put him where he could eat. It felt like he was covered in raw egg (but of course it was something yuckier) so I decided there & then to call him egg. He was the only one with white feet so he was easy to keep track of. We decided to keep him. He was a good cat, always used his litter box, didn't scratch & bite, kept us warm on cold nights & sometimes he got mice in the garage. He was a loved member of the family.

our cat has distemper and we have to watch him go because we cant afford to have him put down... :( we have only had him for a few months. our kitten had it and passed it to our other cat.

ya i live in the country and my cats live outside im afraid of them getting distemper but Ihere that it comes more in the citys

my cat died a month ago, she was trun over by a car. she was 14 years old. I cried so much, she was my first cat, I was her first human and she was my only friend.
