An epidural is unnecessary and makes delivery of a baby difficult and can result in dangerous and unnecessary methods to extract a baby. Your back WILL NOT snap in two. Don't be ridiculous! It is a pain management choice, but one that should be a very last resort. Pain will not kill you and after having three w/out pain meds, I can say, while intense, not scarring.

I've noticed people are debating over Epidural. It's fine its not concidered a drug of your baby, it's to help your back from not snapping in two. Every woman in labour has to have one.
