10mm from the end of 80mm. 4mm hole through one side and only for the half the other...
then screw a 4mm bolt in the hole and saw off the head. Now you can place the toy caps right
on the 4mm sawn off bolt...the rest is also easy. But always make it strong, because it is
dangerous shit and no toy !!

Thanx for the video but...if i were you, i make the gun a whole lot stronger !
You make it look like it's no big deal, but you could get seriously hurt...that's dangerous
stuff !...please be more careful and make your guns stronger...because i made them
myself in the past, but i used black powder and toy gun blast caps...aluminum drilled barrel,
15mm by 15mm and 100mm long and calibre 8mm led balls !! You know what i mean ?
100mm total length and drilled for 80mm only, 4mm hole from above at

@rootbeerfilms1001 The exact mechanism is not important, look at any video or article describing how a matchlock works. You just need some way of holding a smoldering string and moving it into the flashpan when ready to fire.

nice gun. just my two sense, use ring clamps instead of zipties. you can find them for about a buck at the hardware store. (there stronger and look better)

@proudNRAmember Ya thanks for the tip, that would be better. That gun has a napkin stuck in the barrel and will not be used again though.

Did you make your barrel? If not, where did you get it?

@MrBagginsEsq It is a 3/8" diameter aluminum tube. I smashed one end shut with JB weld in the seal, and drilled a flash hole. It's not such a good barrel and if you want a serious one without the risk of explosion use a steel tube that has no weld line and has a wall thickness of 1/8"+, look in the plumbing section of you local hardware store. Or you could get a steel rod and drill a barrel yourself but that takes a long time and you need a lathe.
