Riding another trashed, run-down elevator at another Meijer store near Flint, MI. (Meijer is a department store and grocery store in one, like a Wal-Mart Supercenter, only more expensive, of course.)

Uhh, okay...apparently, one or two employees there noticed me with the camera. As I was looking over my video, the manager in charge that day approached me, and kindly asked me what I was taking pictures of. I told him that I was just an elevator fan and I was taping the elevator. He just reminded me of the store policy and that I can't be going around the store taking pictures (which I wouldn't do, because it's pointless). I offered to show him what I had, but he didn't even want to bother looking at it. He probably let it slide because I was being polite and courteous. I'm going to assume that he trusted me.

TECHNICAL SPECS:
Make: Montgomery
Type: Hydraulic
Capacity: 2000 Lbs.
Number of Floors: 2
Year Installed: Probably mid-1980's

  • I find that offensive 'garbage can on a cable'. Vectors are the best fixtures ever designed...

  • @Vanool35 Oh, I agree, don't get me wrong. I too like the Vector fixtures. I just meant that the elevator itself was kind of dirty and not well kept. Most of the other Vectors I've seen were relatively nice; this one is just in dire need of cleaning.

  • I didn't know people were into types of elevators so much.

Anyways, it's good that the manager didn't hassle you much. Have fun! :)

  • @Strideo1 Thanks. :)

  • I love those Montgomery Vector button. I found one of them at Carson Pirie Scott at Ford City Mall! It's so hard to find it in Chicago.

  • They are not HORRIBLE, they are commonly used and very run down.
