I have talked about going through my dbases and filing away some of my past years work...and coming a cross a number of "projects that I wanted to complete before filing things away. This is one of those projects. I first caught the Spores live some time back at the Press Club in Sacramento, CA. My friend Ira told me that this band was very worth checking out, and I am really glad I made it, because I have been a solid fan since. I remember shooting a ton of images (stills), and deciding while editing that it would be cool to take every single photo shot during their set, the good ones, bad ones...everything, and track them to one of the songs. This is exactly what I have done. This work in progress "flicker" is straight from the folder in the order the images were shot, with none left out. This was shot all available light, with only 2 or 3 flashed shots. The only other editing done was resizing the images for video rendering, adding a sepia filter (to reduce the overwhelming red, and adding a old film texture. I am happy with this working version, and would appreciate any feedback, good or bad. The Spores are an amazing band, and well worth the effort of this creative project.
As posted in the details of this video...this video is comprised of 587 still frames shot during the first set I saw of the Spores. They were shot available light with a Nikon D200, at the Press Club in Sacramento. PLEASE COMMENTS> this is a work in progress< Feedback, good or bad,is much appreciated. Cheers.
