I took the cupcake out by placing a knife down the side of the pot and carefully lifted it out. It didn't affect the cupcake at all. Hope that helps.

A Fun spin on this... instead of putting a plastic bag at the bottom of the flower pot, mix chocolate pudding with oreo crumbs and pour into the base of the flower pot. Then, unwrap the cup cake after decorating and place it on top of the pudding mix. It's like dirt and flowers! CUUUTEE! ;D
