Rules dictate the strategy and tactics of a fight. TKD don't punch because the rules make it hard to score, and so TKD stylests have difficult with those who train for punchs. In a street fight, If an MMA dove into get my legs I'd drive a punch into his 3rd virtibrae and leave him paralized. But the rules rightfully forbide that defense. RULES DICTATE THE STRATEGY, TACTICS, AND TRAINING OF THE PARTICIPANTS. They all have limits.

With an attitude like yours im willing to bet 12 year old wrestler would probably take you down and hold you there like a helpless little girl. People who have never faced wrestlers always have this attitude, you have absolutely no clue how fast and how easy it is to take someone down. dilbert is completely right. Ppl think, Oh kyokushin is not useful in MMA therefore it is not a efficient martial art. If we get into a street fight and you try to pull off some brazilian JJ on me, im going to take a huge bite out of your flesh.
